Summer is upon us and with it, free time for your children. If you’re looking for fun, educational and sensory-friendly ways to fill your days, our community partners have a variety of upcoming events to consider. Saturdays: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Get Air Trampoline Park offers dedicated time for jumpers with special needs, and one parent can assist their child at no charge. Learn more here.
Friday, June 8: REVEL will host their Summer BBQ. Admission is $10 and more information is available here.
Saturday, June 9: Autism Community Store will host Spectrum Parent Adventures at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a safe place to share your story, successes, challenges and emotions. Learn more on their Facebook page.
Sunday, June 10: Join Autism Society of Colorado for their annual Walk with Autism at Sloan’s Lake. Learn more here. The Denver Aquarium’s June low sensory morning is also June 10 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Learn more on their Facebook event listing.
Wednesday, June 13: Join REVEL today and every Wednesday from 3-5:30 p.m. for Meditation, Yoga and Gardening. REVELers practice mindfulness through meditation and yoga, and then get their hands dirty by working on their community garden.
Saturday, June 16: History Colorado Center will be closed to the general public from 8-10 a.m. to offer a low-sensory morning. While attendance is free, space is limited. RSVP is required.
Sunday June 24: Enjoy a sensory-friendly concert from 1-2 p.m. featuring folk and country-blues artist Wolf van Elfmand at Swallow Hill on E Yale Ave.
